Global Search Across Content & LMS Modules
It was a difficult job for an LMS admin to keep navigating through massive number of training related posts such as xAPI Content, Courses, Lesson, Quizzes and other custom posts, and to overcome this this issue, this new update brings you a very powerful tool.
The GrassBlade xAPI Companion version 7.0 comes packed with a Global Search tool, and now managing extensive xAPI content, LMS course just got much faster. The new Global Search feature allows administrators and instructors to instantly find and jump to:
- xAPI content items
- WordPress posts and pages.
- LMS courses, modules, lessons, and custom post types
- Direct navigation to custom pages belonging to any plugin.
Customizable Search Settings: You have full control over what shows up. Easily toggle visibility for specific custom post types from your LMS plugins right from the search settings.
Additional Global Search Feature: For xAPI content as searched item, the global search allows you some of the actions directly from the search UI. It provide you an expandable action UI containing actions such as view, edit, reports and completion tracking. So if you are looking for a xAPI content report or want to enable or disable completion tracking of an xAPI content, you can directly search the xAPI Content in the global search box and do all these action right form there.
Reports Upgrade: Out of Beta & Smarter Filtering

Finding items in long filter lists is now much easier. When you check a box in multi-select filters, the selected item smoothly animates and docks to the top of the list so your active choices are always visible at a glance.
Licensing and SSO
The license page’s UI has been improved and now we have changed how GrassBlade LRS is accessed through GrassBlade xAPI Companion. Earlier you could view the GrassBlade LRS right in the WordPress through the GrassBlade LRS submenu page. But, now due to some security incompatibility there has been a change how you access it.
Now GrassBlade xAPI Companion provides SSO (single-sign-on) page instead. You are automatically redirected to the GrassBlade LRS. Sometimes WordPress blocks new tab so it also provides “Open in New Tab” button. To make sure everything is secure, this SSO link remain valid for 60 second after that you can click “Try Again” for new SSO.
Additional Improvement for Security, Bug Fixes and More
Security remains a top priority. This release includes targeted updates to ensure safe data handling across media and interactive modules.
