How to Upload Articulate Rise 360 Content on WordPress?

Want to upload Articulate Rise 360 Content on WordPress? Stick to this article to follow best settings of exporting Rise 360 content and uploading it on a WordPress website.

What is Articulate Rise 360?

Articulate Rise 360 is the latest tool from Articulate to create eLearning content rapidly. It is fast and easy to use, you can edit Rise 360 content directly in your browser.

First, you have to export your Rise 360 Content to upload on WordPress. You need a zip file to upload.

You can export content with some LMS settings or just as HTML, We will learn two setting of exporting content.

  1. Export course with tracking (Experience API or xAPI or Tin Can)
  2. Export course without tracking (HTML5 only)

1. Export Course With Tracking

Requirements:

  1. Articulate Rise 360 Content .zip file.
  2. Website Running on WordPress.
  3. Plugin: GrassBlade xAPI Companion
  4. GrassBlade Cloud LRS (or GrassBlade LRS)

In this method, we will export Articulate Rise 360 course with xAPI wrapper and do the correct xAPI settings.

When you’re exporting course with xAPI (Tin Can), you would need to connect GrassBlade xAPI Companion plugin with a Learning Record Store (LRS). You can use GrassBlade Cloud LRS (or GrassBlade LRS) for better results. 

Download Your Course File

Step 1:

Go to Articulate Rise 360, select your course and click Export.

Step 2:

Select Export Type as LMS and select xAPI (Tin Can).

Step 3:

Select the tracking option you want in your course, in tracking setting, there are three options:

1. Track using course completion: It means, it will send statement of completion when user views at least the specified percentage of the course.

Note: There is some kind of bug in Articulate Rise 360, when you set completion tracking with 100%, It won’t send completion statement, once you set it to 99% or below, it will send completion statement. So never use 100% completion tracking option.

2. Track using Quiz Result: Completion of the course will be on the basis of quiz score of the learner.

3. Track using Storyline block: With Articulate Rise 360 latest version, you can add Storyline blocks in your rise course. Simply it is a kind of quiz developed with Storyline and you can add it to your Rise course. 
You can select this storyline block as trigger of course completion in Rise 360.

Step 4:

Now Click Export. It will save file in your computer.

2. Export Course Without Tracking

Requirements:

  1. Articulate Rise Course 360 .zip file.
  2. Website Running on WordPress.
  3. Plugin: GrassBlade xAPI Companion

Let’s do it.

Download Your Course File

Step 1:

Go to Articulate Rise 360, select your course and click Export.

Step 2:

Select Export Type as Web.

Step 3:

Click Export, it will download your Rise course zip file without any tracking feature.

You’re done. Now, you have a zip file.

If you need tracking and exporting content with xAPI settings, you must connect GrassBlade xAPI Companion plugin with some LRS. You can use GrassBlade Cloud LRS for better results. 

Upload Rise 360 Content

To upload your exported content file, follow the steps carefully.

Step 1:
Go to WordPress Dashboard>xAPI Content>Add New.

Step 2:
Add a title, and scroll down to xAPI Content Details section.

Step 3:
Click Choose File and select Articulate Rise 360 file from your computer.

Choose other appropriate Settings. Click here to learn more about all available settings.

Step 5:
Click update to upload and publish Rise 360 Content.

You have successfully uploaded Articulate Rise 360 content on WordPress site.

Now, you can add the content on any WordPress post or page. Also, you can add content on lesson or quiz page of LMS’s like LearnDash or WP Courseware.
